About Protech

Protech Performance came about as an opportunity for Michael Astamendi and his many years as a restorer and fabricator, to open his own shop in Burbank, CA. In the Spring of 2003, he opened for business in a 2,000 sq. ft. building. Clients and work varies from hot rods to muscle cars and everything in between.

Many of the cars produced have been featured in automotive magazines all over the United States and Europe.

In the fall of 2008, Protech Performance moved to a larger facility in Burbank. This move enabled Michael to put all automotive lifts inside, build an area for a machine shop and storage facility above. Customer cars are now safely housed inside for their protection.

As a member of the Road Kings car club in Burbank, Michael has had the opportunity to work on many cars in the club. All of his clients appreciate the workmanship that he delivers and the time allocated.
